Hey Patrice, I bought them from arizona vanilla . com. They weren’t too expensive for the amount of vanilla you get. I think I made mine a bit concentrated so could probably add more vodka down the road. I’ve heard to use anywhere from 1-3 beans per ounce of vodka.
I’m thinking but nothins happenin. What do you do with the vanilla vodka? Drink it? Soap it? Bake it?
Lol, you can use it in baking. You can put it in drinks…coffee, tea, hot chocolate.
I guess you could soap it…not sure I will do that.
The best alcohol for vanilla beans is Bourbon but for a killer extract, use Everclear. The water in other alcohols will degrade the flavor in the beans over time.
I use one bean for a 3-oz bottle(bourbon) and use it for baking cookies.
